Mix24-Yugoslav/Serbian Special Police Units (PJP) pre 2000

Posted by Mixon on 29 Sep 2010, 11:14

Another my conversion - Posebne Jedinice Policije (PJP)
These were the specialized police units to the combat, as a light assault forces against the KLA terrorists. They wore blue tigerstrip and woodland camouflage uniforms.

They look nice, maybe a bit of shading, I recognize the 3 -tone camo outfits from what the Krajina militia had, including the camouflaged beret (even have one of those at home, though that one has a 4-color pattern, makes for a nice souvenir :D)

Mind you that this is not a political forum.

Very interisting unit & uniform/camouflage! Quite inspiring in someway.

Completely agree with Maurice on this one! We should leave political discussions & appraisals to other fora. There are plenty of them in the www.

We go of topic, but I do not see anything political here!
The unit was formed just for the KLA, which in 1996-98 increased its effect on civilian (Serbs and other non-Albanians and Albanians loyal to the former state of Yugoslavia), military and police targets. 1999th The USA is wiped KLA from the list of terrorist organizations.

The political angle could be considered in the use of the word terrorist...to one side they are terrorists..to the other freedom fighters....maybe the wording KLA fighters???
Nice figures though

Some very nice conversions and great cammo  Maybe a wash would just finish them off :-D
I dont think calling someone a terrorist is too political like Paul says one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.
Being an international forum every nation has had a war with someone else so as long as its tasteful(not depicting horrors like beslen or death camps) I cant see a problem :-D

I meant that the word terrorist would be better replaced with "fighter", that way it takes out any connotation of side taking...one way or the other. :-)

and do you mean Bergen-Belsen ??

Hello,

interesting painting of the Orion-set. O.k., I think a little shading would be good, but nevertheless it´s a good paint-job.

Best regards
