Believe it or not, but Airfix is going to re-release their classic Guards Sets this summer.

That's very good news for me. For years I have regretted not getting a copy of these sets in my youth, and then the price to get one on the internet was too exorbitant to afford. :(

But every cloud has a silver lining. Apart from the fact that I will now be able to fulfil one of my old dreams, not having these figures allowed me to produce my own English Guards officer for the project I submitted to the previous painting competition in honour of Kostis Ornerakis.

I have some second hand but not complete and I'm missing the boxes. I'm looking forward also to buy them. ;-)

Santi I'm glad you finally get the soldiers you've always wanted at a reasonable price, it's always nice when things come back in stock!

I hope the Airfix guys get their act together and re-release other old sets (I'm thinking for example of Washington's Army and British Grenadiers of the American War of Independence, in blue and red respectively if possible).
