I'd like to agree with everyone else, even if agreeing is less fun, but I can't find the barrows. :( :eh:

Fruit or fish piled up for sale was often referred to in the old days as a barrow!
That is food for thought. i guess only our friend Remco can verify what he meant. :-D BB

Problem Solving . :-D " Is Fun."

Image

I need to add the side building that has a wide open front and i do not wish the slope inside to be seen.
Most certainly the camera would pick that oddity out.

This is how i set about screening it. No fine detailed work needed doing at the time, just the marking and cutting out of the main shape. However as is often found the smillies often wish to over complicate the obvious.

Image

Using the wall to work out the unusual but simple box shape took only a jiffy to do.

;-) " How long is a jiffy BB?"
 " It`s near double the size of a jif."
:sst: " so the fy is nearly half a jiffy"
;-) "Yes, Thank`s guys."
 "Very glad that was explained in near half details"
:coffee: " Well i like to make it simple, although explaining a jiffy in a jiffy is impossible."
:cowboy: "You mean it takes lots of jiffy`s to do that BB ?"
:coffee: " Yip!"
:sst:" so why use them bb?" asked the little button.
:read: " To confuse Peter i bet?"_________"Eh!"

I also marked out the Apex!

;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) " BB what`s an Apex?"
 " It`s a something that takes about half a Jiffy to do."

Image

The two ends with pointed tops soon appeared.
:sst: " and two sections were cut out of one end wall."
:-D " To allow for the walls to slip nicely into place."
:eh: " Well i never!"

Image

i pinned a mock up,to show everyone.

Image

The walls will be set in from the end walls creating eventually pleasing angles to view.

Image

The timber framed sides will have their windows cut out later.

Image

So the small building with its inner wall ,and the slope extending from it will butt onto the larger sized building without any problems. " Yah! Seeing is believing."

Image

So taking them apart i then made the measurements for the large wide open front.........

Image

..... and a smaller back doorway in the other end wall. There will be two steps leading up from the floor and a good solid door fitted too.

Image

There it is all cut out.

The upper floor and roof is next to mark out in a few Jiffy`s. i hope you will visit again. BB

I will sure visit again! As long as they don't serve that fish again! Looks very promising! Now a question: who's house will be first?

Thank you Gunnar, for the question.

Both the Black-Smithy Forge Master & Pongy Smelling, Bad Tempered Fishmonger will fall upon this production stage of illusion first.
Other buildings are finished and anyone`s guess is who ought to be living in them. It is thus a playful toy town condition.

I must admit some i do not like at all. As clay shrinks and loosens ones efforts fit enough to have them tumble down.

The Forge or Fishmonger will be on one side of a long house of turn or topple over design which sort of fell up in the middle, rather than ever having being built down in the first place.
 "Apex roofs are often like that as the sloping tops are also bottoms."
:eh: :eh: :eh: :eh: :eh: Eh? They all sighed.
This i feel is taking the average Gaul Semi-Detached to a new level of rather inflated idea`s :eh: :eh: :eh: :eh: :eh: "Eh?" They all sighed in question.
Often is the case a statement can evoke emotive reaction.
:sst: " did the gaul`s and roman`s have water mills ,hot air balloons or even windmills ?"__________ :coffee: "Slave powered concrete mixes most certainly." BB
