Finally, some 1/72 Nappies from me. I got this box from Peter some times ago. It seems plastic was pretty old (almost as Peter ) and therefore some figures cracked. Still I managed to paint 12 of them. Enjoy... or not (it's up to you )
Hi Kekso ! I like them a lot, and I always admire people who can paint so many riders. Just one point: as far as I know, the Carabiniers should have black (or dark brown) horses... but this is regulation, it certainly was very different on campaign, particularly in Russia.
@Santi - I'm too cheap to buy another colored paper for background Just kidding, I will try some in the future. I have dark cloth but I wasn't very happy with the outcome.
@PhilC - Thank you, I learned something. On Italeri's boxart there are brown horses and that was my reference. Obviously not right one.
You are right, the box art is not always correct. If you need some documentation for your next nappy project, I think that I can help a little, at least for the french army, so don't hesitate to ask
Until the disastrous campaign in Russia in 1812 the carabiniers rode on big black horses. In 1813-1815 they were more flexible and rode on blacks, browns and dark bays. All the horses were of high quality, one of the best in Empire.
Tinyfigs from Tinypics. I got tired with TP and tried Imgur. Works nice, but there are some there who are wondered what the xxxx I'm doing. Anyway, very nice figures and very nice to see something from you!
