Guns & flags of the ACW

I have quite large Union & Rebel armies for the ACW that I have gamed with only once.

I think a needed refurbishment is necessary before I start to prompt my pals into a few games (using Regimental F&F, I think).

The flags carried by my figures are photocopied efforts from Warflag (free site) & look ordinary. What’s worse is the inaccurate models of plastic guns both side’s artillery units have.

So: who stocks excellent 20 MM ACW flags?

For flags, since Rofur is gone I'd say maverick flags, the printing is sharp and good and not too expensive:

Just don't forget to say you want the flags in 20mm, so he can resize them. I use almost only Maverick and Rofur flags in my projects, they're that good.

As previous poster suggested Germania and Hagen have artillery sets, but can be large compared to most 20mm plastic soldiers. Sadly there aren't many good artillery sets available in plastics.

I forgot about guns, if you don't mind using metal pieces, RSM95 have 8 and 12-pounder Napoleon, Howitzer and a mortar and caisson and limber. They're based in the US but shipping isn't too bad. They have some gun crew figures but very simple. The artillery pices are slightly more detailed than for example Imex, and suits most plastic 1/72 figures, not as big as the Italeri ones. They also have wagons now that Imex wagons are getting more expensive.

Giving credit card details to buy overseas stuff is not a very good idea in this day and age.
I only use my PayPal Account for buying whatever now. Much more safer.
If Sellers do not have a PayPal Account,tough they lose the sale. BB

Yes that's a downside, but I've ordered from them for years, never had a problem, but you need to fax them the details, an online one will do.

I wasn't refering to Hagen but the company that sells RSM95 which requires you to send CC information by fax, some may see this as a downside and not safe, but I haven't had any problems with them and their ranges are great.

Hagen is great and reliable and using the safer option, paypal, sorry if there was a misunderstanding here.

Guns? Still an other interesting producer of pewter-guns and soldiers. His models are really well done and in scale. He has also munitions-wagons etc. in his programme. His attacking Union-soldiers in winter-clothing are impressive:

They even have a field forge! A downside is that most of the figures are in greatcoats, only usable for certain battles but still look impressive. Great link Sansavino!
