Esci Set 238 Muslim Warriors

Posted by Peter on 09 May 2016, 14:11

Thanks Mr Cryns!

I would have bought that box for 20 euros to! Were you the person with all these boxes from Esci at CRISIS on the bring and show? And if the answer is yes, do you have more of them?

In fact how the figures are shown on the box art is where I want to get! White-grey clothing with just some red and blue-grey colors. All together they will make a very fine army!

Airfix did scale down figures. Look at the WW2 figure sets. Not all of them, but most of them. A good example are the US Marines. Accurate did it to with their AWI figures. But now? I wouldn't know!

Yes we did, and I bought some small boxes from you (Nexus cowboys for example). I was also there when you had a chat with Benno and Remco. :-D

I mean from those big Esci boxes like you show in that picture. ;-)

I have, I don't know how many, but I have. But prices asked for these vintage sets at Ebay (130 dollar) are almost as attractive to me as your interest is.

So you have to ask yourself a question:

'Do I feel lucky today?'

Thanks Kurt!

@Mr Cryns: Yes I feel Lucky today. I received some downscaled Hong Kong figures of Airfix British Paras! That made my day! :-D But for 130 Dollar for an Esci box, I say no thank you! And for that part I don't feel Lucky! ;-)

I have a set of the ESCI Muslim Warrioirs but I lost the box long ago and the figs are off the sprue. How much would that go for? Now that I have seen them painted so well, perhaps I will give it a go myself. According to PSR, one of them is a Whirling Dervish.

Since you were lucky that day, I have to tell you this:
I must have Quatre Bras and I might still have Khyber Pass somewhere.
So let me have a search in my different storages and you will hear from me soon.

I have Khyber Pass and Jena/Auerstadt and I think Hadrian's Wall. But they are sleeping very comfortable in the hobby room. Well, maybe some figures from Khyber Pass will turn up here eventually.

Great job Peter :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:

Euh... Dykio, I euh... I don't know what you see when you look at Peters Muslims, but I see... no eyes at all on them.... I can not even see their faces. Very small and dark and Peter only shows the back of his Sheik in close up. On Peters blog we can see the faces pretty well but the men have their eyes closed it seems.

Peter I am really sorry: I can not find my Khyber Pass set so I must have sold it at Crisis.

But I am so happy for you both Beano Boy and Susofrick offer you all of their Esci sets! :-D :yeah:  :notworthy: :joker:  :-P

So Peter you better start saving your money now

The Quatre Bras set is in my storage far from my house. I bought that because I can use the double cuirassiers set that is in it. So for me it is only interesting to pass the whole box to you if you can swap it for two boxes of cuirassiers (and a bonus for the rest of the set) or a price that covers the price of two such cuirassier sets (and a bonus). So let me hear if you are really interested in this one.

That is very gentle from Gunnar and Paul! I will be waiting for the postman! :-D

@Mr Cryns: as I have lots of figures of that Quatre Bras set, I'm not interested in the figures. Only the base would be interesting for me. So it looks that you can't help me with this. Thanks for the offer!
