Defense of the Temple ( Battle of Plataea 479 BC)

Hello.
I would like to present my little diorama; Battle of Plataea 479 BC.

On the left side are attacking the Persians under the command of the satrap Mardonius. The Greeks, led by Pausanias facing occupy defensive positions from the right side. The line of defense hoplites (looking from the front) in more or less straight line. However, the Greek defense chic little broke. In the ranks of the Spartans got into a little chaos. Persian archers and Javelineers in this section temporarily rejected the Spartans.
Meanwhile, the ruins of the temple stand reserves the Greek ...

Materials used:
Kits Zvezda 8068 Spartans + 8006 Persian Infantry, gypsum, water, sand, glue, beer :mrgreen: ,grass electrostatic.
Execution time: 7 months. :o

Brilliant stuff. Your shields are especially wonderful. I also quite like way you did the quilted tunics of the Persians. Did you use a wash on those?

A great dio and both armies are impressively painted. In addion, I aslo join the others in congratulating you for the ruins. Although the painting work is remarkable, my favourite photos from here are the black and white ones....:)

I love this diorama, it's wonderful.

Well... actually everything is ok but the temple: I'm not a big expert, but I reckon that at that time it shuold be something more that just some columns and ruins :mrgreen:

Anyway, as I've already said, it's an excellent job :thumbup:
