Very nicely done, one phrase came to my mind: ''Zulus sir, 1,000's of 'em''

Still, a chap ought to look smart in front of the men, don't you think?
Long time no see and then you turn up dressed like this :-D
Excellent mate and congrats on the win

Oh all right so i didn't quote it verbatim I guess I'll just have to 'force' myself to watch it again on dvd
btw the Colour sergeant Bourne is one of my favorite characters in the movie, besides the two leading actors.

Yes; the more observant amongst you will note it is not historically accurate, like the tunic is a blend of officers and other ranks, and as far as I know no regiment in the british army ever used cogs as it's isignia. So it is basically a steampunk-ish outfit that is based closely on a victorian british army outfit.

Anyone attending Aethercon!2012 will get to see it!

and mine. I love the final scene where he's reading out the roll. I only actually watched the film for the first time a few years ago, and was really impressed with micheal caine, it's the best role I've seen him play. While he's always good, he always tends to be "michael caine" if you know what I mean. If I hadn't known beforehand i could easily have watched zulu without realising it was him.

... and "zulus sir, 1000s of 'em" is good enough for me. that's one of those quotes that is so often misquoted it has become common. Mind you, on the night in question it was more like "beers sir, 1000s of 'em"
