Alliance news & releases 2020 - 2023

Posted by Kaiphranos on 12 Jun 2023, 23:13

I haven't seen any photos, but a couple of different retailers seem to be listing the following set names and numbers:
72056) Mounted Light Eastern tribes. Set 1
72057) Mounted Light Eastern tribes. Set 2
72061) Southern Kingdom Warriors. Set 2. Heavy Cavalry
72962) Windy bay warriors. Set 1. Heavy Cavalry

(Guessing that last one is the Knights of Dol Amroth, more or less? "The Windy Bay Warriors" sounds more like an American football team!)

That's pretty much all I know as well. I don't think pictures are available yet, but am sure someone here has better sources than I.

I agree! Mine as well. I think it would be amazing if alliance produced terrain to supplement their miniatures. The orc catapults are great but how about a orc village or fortress, a castle of sinister design (much needed in fantasy but especially 1/72), tombs, etc. I have tried to email redbox from the website but it always comes back. Anyone know how to contact?

I’ve often thought about how amazing linear-A fantasy figures would be as well!

Does anyone have ideas or suggestions on evil terrain (especially camps, fortresses or castles) in 1/72?

Thanks so much

Eli

hmm, generally I think you could use most medieval terrain also for dark fantasy; just paint it more "grim", bloody symbols, glue some corpses or skulls on it.

Once I build "Dungeon Stackers" for 1/72 scale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xNWUwZRIb8

Those are the measurements I used for them and which proved themselves:
Thickness of the foam: 9mm
Length of the three steps: 17mm, 34mm, 51mm
Width of the stairway: 27mm

Could this mean that the Gondor warriors are not far away? That would be long-awaited news for me.

For me too. I bought El Cid heavy infantry as proxies for Gondor infantry, but if they get released, and it looks like they will, I'll make an army of Gondor with all the DA boxes.
