On PSR was a review on this set today. I like this set. Small figures, but nice details.

A totally cool set, that's right.. Hopefully, they also bring it in 1/72.
This is HO cale, 1/87, afaik ?

Then again, Preiser sets sometimes are not half as good once "increased" in scale.. :(

They won´t bring this set in 1:72. This set here was produced in the early 90s. I haven´t seen it once in a model store. This was the time when we had "Spielwaren Schweiger", a real big store in Nuremberg. They are closed for some years now. They had a huge choice of Preiser figs and I visited the store quite often. But I haven´t seen it there.

Nowadays you can see a picture of this diorama on the box of Preiser´s palm trees in HO.

No Idea but this set seems to be the most rare I know.

This little gem shows the traditional vision, at least in Spain, of the Colon's arrival to America

I actually own this set. My sister bought it for me about 15 or so years ago in Austin, TX. I think she paid $15 for it back then, maybe even less. If I can find it I'll pull it out and post some pics. They're still unpainted.... I remember really liking them a lot.

The Columbus set is probably the rarest set I own, aside from Atlantic 1003 (Geronimo Apache): http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=578

Weird thing is, my box actually has an extra sprue with four figures, two standing and firing, two kneeling and firing. Not sure if that was part of another set or what. All figs are molded in dark brown plastic.

Oh, I got you know. When I was talking about the "extra" sprue, I was actually talking about the Atlantic Geronimo Apache set (see this thread: http://www.bennosfigures.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1148&start=15&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=). I posted a picture there but I'll just repost it here:

Sorry, no extra figures in the Preiser Columbus set. I did take a bunch of pictures of that one though, which I will post some time today or tomorrow.
