MY FIRST AFV

Posted by ONIRIA on 17 Aug 2008, 11:48

Hi all
Well this is my first try at painting AFVs.
. The model is from Dragon.s. The tanker is a small conversion using T.Boustead sculpted figures (I don't really recall if they are TQD or Elhiem) I added the ear phones using Duro putty and a thin sheet of foil. The wire is simple sowing thread (It turned out a bit too thick, but I didn't find anything thinner around). The destroyed building is from TP models.
All improvent tips and corrections are very welcome. I personally think I overdone the weathering and some of the cammo patterns are not very well redendered. Anyway I'll try and do better next time...( I hope...
Thanks vor viewing ;-)

Your first try looks a lot better than the first time I tried one! Excellent paintjob and great detail on the tank commander.

The diorama reminds me of the final scene of Saving Private Ryan btw.

it's really nice, but so.. yellow.. The detail is great, and the tank is painted real great, but the overall yellow colour is too overwhelming for me. Perhaps if you paint the ground a slightly different colour yellow, it will be better.

Still like it very much, though.
Cheers!

Really, a niece piece of work ! Congrats ! ;)

The Zimmerit anti-mine coat allways is an eye catcher..
Hey, Oniria, how about building a SdKfz 222 ?

One hint: Just keep on creating such dioramas, and post them here !

Hi Oniria,

Thanx for the nice photo's of this Tiger.
What a monster, specially when you look at photo no 2, taken from a low position.
You almost can't believe it is small scale !!
