A little Italiano

Posted by JurgenH on 31 Dec 2023, 15:56

Hello
As my next project, I have taken a look at Italian transportation.
I have taken on the Italian truck Lancia 3 Ro.
A beautiful model, many finely crafted parts with nice details, useful etched parts. I painted the Lancia in dark green XF 65 from Tamiya, dust is buff and various pigments. The top of the loading area is a tea bag to fill with loose tea. The base is Styrodur in a picture frame. The olive tree is made of root branches sprinkled with basil. The load is from my collection.
A funny incident was washing the stones for the dry stone wall. I had put a portion of stones in a bowl and held it under the tap, very muddy I thought. In the end there were no more stones, it was probably crumbly mud and I glued on the next crumbly stones unwashed.

I hope you like the "little Italian".

Jürgen

The truck looks great! I especially like the structure of the loading area

These look very nice indeed.

If you use the ‘forum’ button instead of the thumbnail they will be larger and more easy to enjoy.

Best wishes,

Chris

Hi Jurgen,
again a well resumed little project.
I like to see more of this kind of vignettes or dioramas, especially to Africa. I have already painted many vehicles and will start in the next month my first North African dioramas, hopefully.
