Hello dear hobby friends,
today I would like to introduce you to another old set of figures from Airfix.
The figures came onto the market in 1972 and were another,
new and eagerly awaited set of figures from the Airfix Waterloo series.















In order to make the planned scene a little more lively, it was necessary to convert some figures and horses.





























In addition, there were a few fallen or wounded horses and soldiers.


Depicted are French cuirassiers, carabiners, line grenadiers as well as British infantry, hussars and artillery

Personally I was wondering if the grazing horses neck is a bit elongated ?

It might be worth putting it against the Itallieri one as a comparison.

As we are used to, Egbert, a very promising start to another of your magnificent dioramas.

You know I'm a big fan of your conversions and I'm sure that, once all those figures are painted and placed in their places, the resulting diorama will be a new masterpiece.

It's impossible not to agree with the opinions of the mates, Egbert. All these horses are superbly painted, an excellent and promising start to the painting step of your fantastic project. I can't wait to see the next painted figures.

I'm happy if you like these figures, which are now almost 50 years old.

Next I dealt with the cannons and the limber.
Here too it can be seen that Airfix created quite usable models half a century ago.
Of course, the quality of the kits cannot even begin to keep up with today's standards,
especially 3D printing.
But as I mentioned at the beginning, I'm more interested in ensuring that these heroes of my childhood also have a worthy place in my collection.

The good Captain is of the opinion that the colour is darker but correct or not these do look nice, especially with their age of production.

Watch out for the flash line on the barrels.

The camera is merciless!
