Contributions to Waterloo Project

Posted by Captain Sibourne on 12 Sep 2023, 08:19

Dear Forum Members,

I've recently posted some pictures of the Waterloo project with a focus on the crossroads north of La Haye Sainte. In addition to the scenery, I am lucky to be supported by a wide range of fellow enthusiasts who are helping me with the project. Here are some pictures of their work. Some don't like to be named publicly so I won't say who has done which work, but suffice to say I'm incredibly grateful for their talent and passion.

Even in such massive units I see much care in detailing. I have long been a fan of group efforts especially those for a cause rather than money and this is very satisfying to see. A final vision shared among dozens is a wonderful concept and a rarity in today's world. I'm grateful for the opportunity to participate as I'm sure all on the team are.
Cheers,

Excellent work on display and the sheer volume is staggering.

I feel that the good Captain’s team work may well be the defining Waterloo diorama in the World when completed .

It certainly deserves to be.

Best wishes,

Chris

I started looking at this thread yesterday. I've just returned to look at it again for the umpteenth time. MONUMENTAL is the only word i am able to find. A huge congratulations go out to you Captain along with your collaborators who are giving us mere mortals considerable food for thought.
I really can't wait to see it all come together. My only concern is surely you're gonna need a soccer pitch to put it all down in the same place.
Absolutely brilliant!

Many thanks all, it's actually going to be about the size of a tennis court, but with walkways into the centre or some of the detail would be lost.

Hello Captain,
so much great achievements. Love the team approach and the outcome is just - no words. Maybe the ultimate "Waterloo dio". It is just an enormous pleasure to watch all this become real.
Greetings
Michael
