WWI Belgian Cyclists

Posted by Marvin on 26 Aug 2018, 21:30

Hello!

I've been working on some more WWI figures, this time HaT's Belgian Carabinier Cyclists. A great idea by HaT to create these figures. Putting all the separate arms and handlebars, etc all together was tricky, to say the least! :sweatdrop:

I like them though. They make for a really nice change from painting horses! :-D

Another interesting an very well painted regiment. I can imagine that it was not easy to handle the small parts in this set. :sweatdrop: :sweatdrop: :sweatdrop:

Well, I can say with confidence your bicycles are every bit as good as your amazing horses!I l love the weathering and mud on the fenders.
Interesting blog entry, too, on these under-appreciated mobile troops.

Fabulous "cavalry" but not of the usual kind. I wonder if strands of dental floss, superglued and painted a mud color, could make for decent tire spokes?

Yellow stripes really pop out and make them beautiful.
And you even made paint chipping on wheel guards

Dear Marvin, once again, I bow before your talent. Is this the start of a new "cavalry" project?

Thanks fellas, I'm very pleased you like my bikers. :-D

Mr Andrea - At least if I choose to do a "cyclist project" it would be mercifully shorter than a never ending cavalry project. :-)

That's dangerous thinking, enough to give me nightmares in fact! I think I'll just settle for the idea that they are travelling so fast that we can't see the spokes. ;-)
