A little longer as usual because I had to find the right colors for everything... 7-8 hours? The face alone took me more than half an hour because of the nose. I hope to finish the next one in half the time.

The silver is quite hard, it isn't something you just do 100% perfect in one time. I experimented on that Strelets Norman fellow. Paint the metal first black, then a very dark grey (
Revell Tank Grey) for all the metal, then a medium grey (
GW Codex Grey) for some highlights and light grey (
GW Fortress Grey) for just a few highlights.
The gold is a lot easier,
GW Bestial Brown, a highlight with
GW Bubonic Brown and the shiny parts with
GW Bleached Bone.
I started with NMM because of this picture, painted by Spencer Keen:
It looked so much better with my style to paint gold like that than with normal gold.

That's the idea yeah. I'm working on the standar bearers but the flag of the HäT set has many faults which makes it hard to paint it. What should be best, painting it, or just use some printed flags?
