I have recently made my 1000th Post at this forum!!!
Time to say "thank you" to all those who keep the forum running and who share their knowledge by giving useful advices and tips. As you can see on the pictures below, I have learned a lot about painting figures when I joined this place in 2011:
Great celebration, congratulations. Your progress show here should be motivation to all beginners on this forum. Improvement is significant but I enjoyed watching all photos in this topic.
It does not only show the evolution of your skill to paint the figures. Also the way from mass scenes to the focus for scenes with a few figures. And on top to your own creation, idea of pose and modeling of figures.
Your first works were very good, Ben90, but the last ones are simply superb, amazing and wonderful. I love specially the "Vercingetorix surrendering to Caesar" diorama.
You have traveled a LONG way, sir. From enthused novice to grand master. Thanks so much for showing us here your work. And please keep modeling and displaying your stuff here.
What an amazing progress. It's good to see these shots together, they show what's possible.
The Persian figures are terrific, I like all of the little details on their clothing. But your more recent work is just on a different level. Very fine highlighting on bronze and leather and fabric, and that monk is just incredible.
