Question - what did you use for base material (dirt) and how do you apply it?

As always a very good small Dio, nice build, well presented with a metal name shield once again!
The color of the pig is for my eye very well done. Good paint.
The soldiers top use a lonely simple one color paint but very exact. A remember that it is possible to: Paint only the hand,face in that color and not the start of the cloth too, for me.
This three tone color at the turret look to me that you build BW AFV too.
Only the base primer for the rain guard is too red in my eye.
Small bits all around the eye catcher.
Again, well done.

Bramble15, thank you for your kind comment. I am very pleased that you like this diorama.

To your question to the material for the floor design: I use Ponal adhesive Classic, a little water, gypsum, sand (different large grain). As this mixture may crack when drying, I give a little bit texture paste from the manufacturer Vallejo to - I like to use the 'sandy paste' (VA26215).

I then like to give even the basic color (acrylics) with the mixture. give mass to the base and then a lot of time can be during drying. This is followed by a washing. The drybrushing completes the work.

With the color of the primer you're right. That does not work properly. But it's a nice spot of color ...

Peter, am very happy about your comment! Nice that you liked the animals. If it fits, I always try to accommodate animals in a vignette. I find that the animals really enrich a diorama.
