Hi, it was a static exhibition, but the figures are mounted for wargame use. After the setting up of the diorama we played a series of games using part of the both armies.

The bases follows the DBA/DBN rules, 6cm for width and with various depths according to different types of soldiers.

Incredible! I love the Cuirassier General in the close up photo. I'm guessing that's a conversion? Do you know what models were used to build him?

You can find clues for the conversion here: http://warinhands.5d6d.net/thread-875-1-1.html

Now this is what I have always dreamt about...putting together a glorious collection of figures like this

Would love to see some close-ups of Polish Lancers and Russian Hussars! PLEEEEAASE!!!

Are there any Arts Miniaturen cavalry figs in there? Have recognised Strelets, Italeri and Zvezda and perhaps a fallen Polish Lancer of Arts Miniaturen. Curious to know if there are many converted figs.

Was able to see that many of the Italeri Carabiniers had had their sword arms moved. Think it's a device that collectors/gamers could use much more than they do because a simple twist of an arm or head can add a whole new dimension of realism to a charging cavalry regiment.

I salute you all :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:  ;-)

There are no Art Miniaturen figures there, unfortunately ... We would have liked to paint some of them, but haven't got a chance for the oversea purchase ... As for those polish lancers their painter do have quite some close-up pics, I believe he'd be glad to post them here by himself. ;-)
