Dear Konrad, I would have preferred to keep them unfinished… :xd:

As you know I’m a freelancer, not attached to any company or any regular basis salary. So, no work, no income. Just two months ago I had a wonderful year ahead, with two fantastic jobs, four months each shooting, coming in (I was already scouting for the first one), handsomely payed and hopes playing high. :(

But you’re right, nearly nothing in this life is totally wrong or right and, who knows, perhaps all this is leading us to something better. I really hope so. There is a huge improvement room on the insanely capitalistic life that we’re living now. If this helps in turning our attention a bit away from the money and ourselves and more towards the others maybe all this mayhem would be worth it…

Would see…
I really hope you and your family are ok.

All the best

Joan

I'm no fan of this Italeri set-but you have transformed them (as you always do) with your unique style. Is there any period/set that you can't make look good?!

What other projects have you got on the go at the moment? From what I can remember, you've already covered the Zulu war, Boer war, Crimean, ACW, French Indian War, AWI. Have I missed any?!

I know your good work from almost first day I joined this forum.
When I see a topic with your name next to it I know I can expect bunch of lovely painted minis.

Hi...

Lauzun's Legion Hussars.

Despite being just 300 of these guys, I couldn't find any other 1:72 set that can provide the americans with some cavalry unit.

Warm rergards

Joan

WOOOW Joan. Have just spent 10 minutes trying to find these chaps on PSR. Suspected as much…….. Zvezda my favorite manufacturer. What a brilliant box of cavalrymen beautifully painted and put together with your inimitable panache. Even the name of this unit is beautiful.

Ps/ only thing I didn’t like were the very light coloured bushes on your bases made from what appear to be dandelions. If so …….fantastic creativity on your behalf but unfortunately I mistook them for cannon explosions which looked out of place. But of course, that’s just my opinion.
Overall ……what a delightful cavalry unit. Thanks again for your inspiration.

Very nice! Again! As usual! It's great to have you back. I thought it was the Revell-set, but I realize I have trouble identifying them. I have neither set. Anyhow, very nice as usual!

Wonderful hussars at the charge, Joan! I especially admire the blue, red and white checkered detail in the back of the saddle.
