Well another duel has come to an end, and it was a nice one again.
Mr. X was dueling Raphaël (Ralf86) and after 6 losses this is the first win for Mr. X.
This duel is born of the July duel, with a mixup they did try it with the same figure.
Both well done, better luck next time Raphaël, cool you did participate!
And finally Mr.X , congratulations, just a few more duels to go, keep this winning mood!
Talking about the duels, there is still a July duel left, so come on, who takes the last month?
Or do you prefer to be Mr.X 2023? Just mail me at bfduel@gmail.com

No it's time for your reactions on this duel....

Hello,
I would like to thank the forum team for holding these very amusing duels :yeah: .

Then congratulations to Mr X for his victory, his choice of colours was better than mine and made the difference 8) .

On my side I found it funny to participate immediately in a new duel against Mr X, telling myself that nobody could suspect that it was me against Mr X again :P .

I think that my photos made me lose votes because I am really not good at photography  and my green background would have been better but it would also have betrayed my presence in this duel.

Congratulations again to Mr X  and good luck for the next duels and thank you to everyone who voted  (for me  :-D ) in this duel.

I promise I won't be in the duels this year :eh: but I'll be back with pleasure in 2022 .

Sincerely Raphaël.

I took some much nicer ones last week but I'm away on business and I don't have them on my phone. I'll put it on my phone when I get back in 10 days, thanks again to everyone for your participation :yeah: .

another impaler!! welcome to the club Raph!
And I voted for you too, after lot of thinking as well. Mr. X chose a really nice colour scheme, yet I saw a neater paint work and shading beyond your small pictures. And you proved me right with the close-up you posted afterwards. It would be nice to have a close-up of the horse as well.
Keep coming into duels! Happy impaling! 8)

Both entries were really top notch this time. I had a rough time deciding.

In the end, I voted for Mr. X. From the photos shown, I could see more detail in the first entry. I also like the seemingly fierce expression on the face of his rider, and the eyes are very well done.

raph86's entry is quite skillfully done, especially as we can see in the closeups. I aspire to painting figures as well as these two did in the August 2021 Duel. I may never reach their level.

Two very very good figures! Hard decision, but in the end it was Mr X's entry that got me!

It is good to use very bright light but it works well to diffuse the light with a filter of some sort.

Even clear plastic bin liners can give a nice effect. Mess around with different techniques.

Your Mameluke is really good.
