Making a Conquistadore's head with a Morion

Posted by entrauner on 08 Jul 2010, 14:37

some tools we need - a stancel to make a round foliage,a knive, some sanding iron wool and
a piece of foliage of a mustard(horseradish) tube.
cut out a little round piece of foliage.

pick a figure with a nice "spanish" face -here we go for one of the esci barbarians.
cut the head into a V shaped head top.carve the little round foliage in the center, bend it and
then clue it on top of the head.

I picked one of the revell conquistadores with a nice helmet top and cut it off.

then cut the V shape into the little piece of helmet and clue it on top of the foliage.
you can fill the gaps with anykind of putty and sand the whole piece with some iron wool (size 00).
I also cut my fingernails in the meantime

at last you can either paint it with some basic color or like here I made some resin castings.
it is just a quick tutural ,and the result is not perfect, but i think it gives you an idea what you
can do to get more interesting heads for your conquistadores.......please enjoy trying it!
