Sometimes I don't believe it...

Posted by Konrad on 11 Feb 2022, 10:51

Sometimes I can no longer understand this world.
A model building simulation for the PC??!!??
No longer build, touch, plan yourself?
And that's supposed to be creative?
But maybe I'm just too old...
What do the members here say about it?

The only one who would love to see it this is my wife, I think!

No thank you, I like to feel the model, taste the paint and smell the glue! If you are old Konrad, then I'm with you! :occasion: :-D

Can only agree. And been thinking about the development of 3D-printers. What if they started to print in colour??? Terrible!!!

I will continue like now, ignoring colour 3D printers and video-builders :-D !!!!

I'm still of the "physical" generation, I have something to do even far from PC or phone screens :xd:

I am willing to test my painting skills against the output of a color 3D printer.

Same here just about historical battles in movies...Before CGI they would bring thousands of people to simulate battle...Today they use CGI but it annoys me because I know its fake...I know historical movies are expensive but I watch historical movie because of battle not of annoying dialogue between actors, or their explosion of hysteria, crying, screaming and annoying intrigue...

I think model builder is the same boring shit like farming simulator or flight simulator, where you can spend countless hours to plug away a field or flying an airbus from Paris to New York in real time.

I really HATE applying decals, there always something goes wrong when I handle these tiny, dripping, soft, fragile and floppy thingies ... so if that's the future, you can put decals onto your model on the computer screen, how wonderful!

No, seriously folks: What a complete waste of time! Who on Earth would use this nonsense?
