WW1 group build

Posted by Kekso on 02 Jan 2014, 18:01

Hi guys,

We got an idea in the chatroom that we should start group build dedicated to 100 anniversary since WW1 started. It says that WW1 formally started on 28th July 1914. I think that should be deadline to finish our projects.

Any entry that respects this topic is welcome... armor, airplanes, ships and (of course) figures. Any scale is allowed too. Ok, this is not an opening of this GB... we'll start it if there will be enough people who would support this idea. Maybe Benno could create some poll and we could vote for best project.

What do you think?

It is a good idea in a forum in my country we are already doing and working groups are fun part of learning from other modelers.

Great Santi... in my country some WW1 group builds started already... but mainly airplanes.

I hope here, in our group build, figures will prevail... that doesn't mean you can't build a tank or nice airplane.

At least 2-3 more participants and we 'll have minimum for start it. I think we'll have open this discussion for couple of weeks. 6 months is enough to buy some figures and finish project.

Great, thank you guys. As I said, let's give it a couple of weeks so that other can see this proposal and think of entering. Then we'll officially announce GB start, deadline and rules.

That' doesn't stop you to start this project immediately. But please, don't post it yet until GB will be officially open.

Hi guys... I hope today I will talk with Benno about technical details. And we can start officially in a few days.

For you who have finished projects already: I think that point of group build is to see work in progress of all participants, not finished projects at the end, or even at beginning. If most of you disagree with me, please let me know.

But what do you think guys, is it 28th July too far away? Should we shorten deadline?

For example, 28th June and then voting until 28th July? I'm open to any suggestions...
