German Sd.Kfz.8 DB10 Gepanzerte 12t & Flak 8.8

Posted by Quepwik on 20 May 2022, 15:07

It's been a while since had come here !

This new project had been floating around in my head for a while.
The difficulty was to find a DB10, a model that does not exist at 1/72. Well not quite since it was released under the PMA brand. A part is in Diecast but the rest is nicely done with a lot of details.
I completely disassembled the model and removed the paint to add new details and repaint it entirely.
The only defect of this model are the not very pretty tracks that I will replace by those of an old Revell Famo

Very rare véhicule, I really like it.

The Flak comes from Revell, a superb model that I wanted to detail even more with an Aber barrel and Hauler photoetched.

Very nice job so far, Quepwik! A beautiful and very detailed model. Interesting to work with a diecast hull. It looks very thick around the hatches of the drivers cabin, but nicely thin around the open part of the hull.

Thanks for your comments.

yes Huib, it's a shame but these are the constraints of diecast.

Working on crew.
Preiser, Caesar, Germania, unassembled, reassembled, with some sculpted plastic clay.

The subtle metal scratches on the edges are very realistic, lovely!
