For one of my new works, I have planned to build a Spanish mission church.
Below are the first pictures of the construction progress.

Hmm, checked a little, but could only find things that happened 1881. Will be great to follow this and get the answer.

Looks like solid craftsmanship. Can you tell us what you use to build it? Looks like a special type of styrodur?

maybe some recognize the building better now ...?
It's not a historical building ...
and unfortunately it is no longer at the place where it was built.

Hello Egbert.
Well done. Something similar will be built one day in the Italian style, almost exactly the same. I've planned this for a long time, but maybe I can avoid some mistakes by building it.

Thanks Egbert. I did not know that HEKI sells those plates. I always searched for it in a hardware store.

the HEKI plates are excellent stuff ... they are extremely easy to work with.

Tell me I'm right, please. I think they are great figures, even without conversions, unlike mine, which do have them. :lol:

Yes my friend, these are indeed wonderful figures,
that would fit the church perfectly. :notworthy:

But unfortunately you are not right... I have another idea for the dio. :oops:

My intention is to present the church in a neglected and shabby appearance.

... it goes on ... with the painting ...
- primer in the color concrete gray,
- everything glazed with white tinting paint from the hardware store,
- then everything was processed with a washing mixture of ocher and black,
as well as the edges, depressions and protrusions are additionally emphasized ...

After drying, in the next step, the surfaces were glazed again with heavily diluted white paint
and the depths are reinforced with the ocher-black mixture,

In all work steps I make sure to keep the colors very watery and always work wet on wet.

I am enamored of the buildings as they are progressing nicely, but completely baffled by the cryptic clues of what this project's theme will be!

I have admired the painting of the church and have been intrigued by your idea for the diorama, Egbert. :shock:
