The Regiment de Dromadaires figures I requested Newline Designs to manufacture earlier this year have arrived A nice set of figures with plenty detail to keep my eyes strained and the smallest brushes to provide fruitful service. These are the next on the painting table as soon as the current batch of Saxons is done.
For anyone interested, Newline have the Christmas sale on until the end of November with 25% off.
Very slow progress with the camels. It's taking about 40 minutes to get the harness onto each one 10 done so far with 5 to go before we get to the colourful bit
I think the camels are done. They've had various washes to finish them off. Every camel is a slightly different colour so I'm happy.
Especially for Wiking, the camels going to the right. They're actually still going to the same waterhole, I just stood over the other side to give the impression they were coming back. They're never this coordinated on the way back.
Lovely camels! The base looks rather small, how do they stand on their own? And with the exta weight (and height) of a rider? Only have Airfix's camels and we all know how well they stand even though they have quite big base.
