Still a very impressive army as always, great to still see you're still updating this! I'm going to use this as a reference for my own Late Romans.

ten days of vacation at home, the occasion also to take again the dio parts of this project (useful also forBelisarius!).
On the menu, a new (big) section of the wall, a city's door, a bridge (already done, I have to photograph it, I'm quite happy with the result), public baths ( a 15mm resin model already done but not yet photographed), and houses of course. (two finished but not photographed ... yet!)
the wall section and the door are obviously made for matching with those parts

walls W.I.P :

i hope the result will be the same : with old carboard, a pencil an my children's colours, i can build in it in very few hours !

I take this post to celebrate all happy Christmas holidays, which I wish you to spend among those who are dear to you, despite the pandemic!
happy holidays to all the benno boys!

Thank you Mabo !

Now a new - and very usefull- element : a stone bridge. It comes from an old BUM set (WSS if i remember), the drawing was nice, but the plastic was clearly horrible (light, and brittle), rough-hewn.
we had to strengthen it, prune it, and naturally bring it to life ... Not unhappy with the result!

Lovely terrain pieces you have here, I like the effect of the mould growing on the bridge.

thank you owen ! unfortunately there are quite a few elements at 1/72 scale (once again it seems that 15mm is the most important range for wargamers...) ... so we have the pleasure of building them yourself! ... if we have time ;-)

Yeah, I was introduced to historicals via 20mm, and it was only after I was committed to 1/72 that I learned ancients was far more popular at 15mm... Well, too late, I like 1/72, I want to build beautiful minis in this scale (much like how you are doing :-D )

I am not sure how I have missed this subject.

The bridge looks like the old Bellona stuff from the seventies.

Nice to see mr Crynns helping out as he knows his stuff.

His Tyros project is very special.

Nice to see you doing such a good job with card.

I use decorators caulk and then scribe the pattern on.

Styrofoam sheets are good for walls.

Best wishes,

Chris

the bridge comes form a BUM SYW set, but BUM has done a lot of copies of previous sets form many manufacturers, so maybe it was one. The plastic was horrible, but the design fine, so i kept it !

Yes, Mr Crynns has all my admiration, i'm sad we don't see here his creations anymore, this batavian artist is a true magician !
