Building Dioramas

Posted by Wolfgang Meyer on 27 Aug 2015, 11:32

We had with our club last weekend a Dioramenbauwochenende in our museum.

We are working on the dioramas "Teutonic Order 1329", " Auenhain 1813” and
"Fortress Rosenberg 1806"

We have modeled figurines, painted, made trees and worked on the dioramas.

Jörg Schmäling of Art Miniatures showed us his new wonderful figures of the Fortress Rosenberg. Pioneers French and Bavarians 1806.

@Wolfgang Mayer can you show every detail of building terrain and putting grass and earth...I don't want to miss anything...Especially I am interested in places where two boards connect together, how you cover the ,,stiches''...

Absolutely stunning: you guys are creating a niche for yourselves.
I can only imagine the incredible amount of research required by this endeavour.
Anyway, again, stunning work: the intricacy of the architecture really comes out. Not to mention the landscape. truly, I'm at awe.
I feel another Möckern in the making!

Now that's a club I'd like to belong to. But to be honest, I'dprobably just spend all my time watching the great work of the others.

Stunning work as always. The gold standard for us mere mortals to aspire too. The turret roof is exceptional. I hope that your health is much improved.
