New plans,new knights

Posted by Konrad on 17 Jan 2009, 00:11

This year i like to do more work with my 28mm figs.
Here the first ones that i've made for a little diorama.
The mounted knight is from Perry-Miniatures
The footsoldier is from Crusader

Sorry, Konrad, but compared to your Samurais, these knights are "just" good.
Still pretty appealing, for sure, but that simple amazement you earned with the Nagashino defense line won't set in for me this time.

Maybe it's simply the glint of the iron, or the minor black spots, but anyways, I'd only give you a 2+ for these. ;-)

Don't take this marking thingy too serious..

Thank you all.

@Valion:
Nobody has said to me that my works are marked here. But if marks are distributed, the painters should do this who show here their works.
Not the theoreticians.

Dear Konrad,

I'm quite sorry, as I did not even want to criticize you !
At least not negatively !!

The skill you show in each of your works is exquisite, and my "2+" was meant to show the difference in comparison to your own work on the Samurais, which, in MY opinion, is quite a bit better. Sorry for putting it a little confusing, a bit too ironic.

It was a stupid idea, though, to give a "mark".

I am sorry for that.

And yeah, I still need to take and upload pictures of my own stuff. I wrote something about that in the "Who am I" thread.
I'll change that, getting rid of that theoretician lable. ;-)

Hello Conny,

looking forward to see, what you have planned with these guys. As you know, the medieval times are my greatest "point of interest".

Regards

Thomas

Very nice Konrad,
Is painting 28 mm figures very different from painting 1/72? For example with regards to the amount of detail you can/should do. Just wondering as I've never painted any 28mm. I've looked at some sets online, and while they look nice, there is quite a bit of a price difference with 1/72.

Thanks, and keep those pictures coming!
