Only just seen this thread,, my thoughts, the 1/72 market is wide open, there is not one figure that I can hand on heart say is good. many poses could do for both sides, but if they are firing a pistol, make sure they look like the are trying to aim it, poses interacting ie for each pose striking with a sword there should be one trying to fend off the blow.
