Euro Modell Expo 2024 Lingen 23./24.3.

Posted by MABO on 26 Mar 2024, 23:32

The FIGZ Promo Group was once again at the Euro Modell Expo in Lingen this year.
https://www.euromodelexpo.de

Image

And like every time, Remco scared me that he would turn into a very evil creature if I didn't write a long report. So I'm writing with sweaty fingers...

Image

The event was better visited than last time a year ago. So Remco had made sure that everyone in the hall couldn't get past the FIGZ.

Image

Image

Fortunately, our stand was right next to Martin's stand from https://www.miniatuurwereld.com

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

In addition to many different figures, he also had his 3D printed delicacies with him again.

Image

Remco broke the magic barrier of 600 painted Romans and, as always, was approached by many enthusiastic people.

Image

But only after he had taken the obligatory photo of Hans.

Image

Hans continued to work on his airfield project and this time presented finished lorries.

Image

Image

Benno again amazed many visitors with his 6mm models and armies. Especially many modellers of the 1/35 scene...

Image

Image

Andrea, who painted his set of Hagen miniatures (https://www.hagen-miniatures.de/test-category-21/figures-40/napoleons-egypt-campaign/french-army-204/officer-in-kleber-uniform-set-1-2074.html) most consistently of all of us, was there for the first time: Napoleon in Egypt, inspired by the famous painting of "Napoleon with his followers in Egypt." by Jean-Léon Gerome

Image

Image

Image

Image

This time I worked on a small display of vehicles from the American 9th Armoured Division that my son can use for his guided tours of the bridge museum there.

Image

Image

Image

Our stand was unique in that it had the most figures in one place.

Image

Also on the "Globe of the FIGZ World" by Erik-Jan, who was there in his thoughts.

Image

As always, there was an incredible amount to see at the Euro Modell Expo: Dioramas, vignettes, vehicles, aeroplanes and ships.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

And of course there was a big competition again, with lots of categories that I still can't get my head round.

Image

Here too, aeroplanes, ships and above all tanks in 1/35th scale.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

And you could buy models, models, models and models...

Image
Image

... and colours and accessories too.

To be continued...

Fantastic part 1 of 10 of this amazing weekend we all had together.
Your style of making a report is suberb, and even funny at some points.
I am looking forward to the rest you make out of it, I hope you will join us for EME 2025 as well, and you know what to do.

Well done so far, thanks my dear old friend

Part 2

My personal highlight was this scene with the Clubmobile and the young lady handing out home-baked donuts. I know someone who makes a historical representation of a field kitchen and presents exactly this kind of situation in museums and at events on this subject. I immediately ordered the two sets from Etsy.

Image

Image

As an old Matchbox fan, I was also delighted that this exhibitor was back.

Image

And DioDump was also a must-visit for me. I bought two small buildings.

Image

The Styrofoam works from this manufacturer are always more fantastic.

Image

But the 3D printing also brings more and more incredible details.

Image

Another discovery was the stand of[ url]http://www.tb-styledesign.de[/url] The Japanese gate made me think of Konrad. Maybe that would be something for the next samurai.

Image

Image

Image

As in January, the local heroes from Lingen, who also have figure friends, were there again.

Image

Image

And the colleagues from https://retrokitonline.net were also there again with very interesting creations...

Image

Image

Image

Image

And now a small selection of AFVs, some in a diorama or in a vignette, that have caught my or our eye.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Oh, there were plenty of ships, including some beautiful civilian representations.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

I made some great discoveries, especially with the aeroplane models.

Image

In this case: full commitment to the presentation

Hello Friends, I am happy that you like the report. I have missed, to write, that some of the pics have been taken by the others.
