Humbrol washes

Posted by Mabbers on 28 Jun 2013, 16:29

Was thinking of trying the new Humbrol enamel washes, maybe the brown wash for horses. Anyone tried these or are there any other washes you would recommend? I had excellent results with the GW/Citadel flesh washes.

Why using Humbrol enamel washes when you're satisfied with the acrylic washes! ;-)

I use GW and Vallejo washes! :-D

Agree with Peter. Well, that is ... if you are the right age there is some nostalgia with the smell of enamel ( ;-) ). Also, welcome from me!

Hi Mabbers
Once I was totally in love with humbrol enamels, but I have noticed since a year or two ago that their quality somhow changed, I cant quite put my finger on it, but they just dont feel the same..:(..These days I stick strictly to acrylic washes and am extremely happy with Polycolor 3D -by Maimeri..they come on large jars and even tho theyre little pricey , they will last loooong time! The opaqueness etc is superb well worth the price more info here http://www.dickblick.com/products/maime ... -acrylics/ . Happy painting!:)
