British Camel Corps

Posted by Santi Pérez on 07 Aug 2018, 17:26

A new batch of lost pictures I have rescued from the Postimage archives. They are Hät figures from their 8194 set (British Camel Corps). Good figures despite the bad quality of their rubberish plastic. :(

Thank you for watching. :-)

Santi.

You really have a unique style of painting. I like the glasses of the guy in the middle.

You have a very unique painting style, S.P. It is pretty cool. Your figures remind me of claymation models created by shaping and joining different colors of clay. I like!!

Thank you, MABO and Bluefalchion. I love that you like my style. I have to say that it's the result of almost 30 years of painting, starting from scratch and self-taught to develop my own. :-)

Could you tell which one of them is, Susofrick? I cannot find any. ;-)

Are you sure, Kekso? Yes, you're right, they are camel toes, not elephant toes, haha.

Best regards, friends.

Nice clean paintwork. The detail work is crisp and we'll defined.

 Lovely work, Santi. I too am a fan of your wonderfully neat style of painting. Often considered painting camel corps troops myself, but never quite got around to it.

Thank you very much, Marvin. Really it's a pleasure to be a member of a forum with so kind members as you. And, please, try it with the camels, they aren't harder to paint than horses. ;-)

My best regards.

I join the other in liking your unique and unmistakable personal painting style. Now I realize why I like it so much: it is like reading a comic of Tin-tin!!

Thank you very much, Mr. Andrea. I can tell you that in my childhood and youth I didn't read Tintin comics, so my painting style can't be influenced by Hergé. However, it's a compliment for me to be compared to such an illustrious artist.

I have to agree with Mr. Andrea. It is quite like the Belgian comics I read and loved when I was a kid. Hergé is just one.
