:-D HOW I WOULD LIKE TO BASE UP MY TOY SOLDIERS
WELL MOST CERTAINLY THESE ONES

:eh: "EH?"

Image

There are four differing poses on a sprue, and so I decided to form four block formations. In this way like traditional toy soldiers I collect, each stretched out line of troops would be marching to the same rumpty - tum- tum - tum, drum beat pattern of uniformity.

So I began to cut them off their sprues.

Image

Because there are only 24 figures in a box and four of them command figures. I needed to buy more of the same French Soldiers to accomplish the fixed pattern of determination I had in my head. Well five poses of each just would not have any real visual presence at all.

Image

By doing this it tidied up each marching line. Although as you can see I left them headless to a most uncommon degree? " And one you are rather unlikely to see anywhere else."
:sst: " unless you visit bb`s you tube channel he owns", remarked the little helpful button.

Image

Using my tiny cutters they soon fell off the sprue, and were shuffled into their fit and proper parade ground place. 34 to each is still a bit twee and even with the Command figures yet to be seen, I did not get much for the £90.00 I spent on these. The one redeeming thing about them is only the backpack and Noggin need sticking on__________ and can be painted up well.

Image

This shows the first all in step block of well drilled toy soldiers. Behind them.....

Image

….. the second comes into plainer upright view. Although a couple turned out of place caused by my silly rattling of the table along our stone floor.

Image

Moving across at the back of my table this formation is all duly lined up and nearly fit for muster.
In front of them this one......

Image

...… the last little block comes hopefully into a pleasant understandable view.

Somehow I cannot imagine the Queen from the story of Alice,
ordering " On With Their Heads!" :-D BB

Yes heads a plenty for these Dalibor.

Perry Miniatures have lots of spare heads too in their boxed sets, so for other earlier periods, heads simply pinned can be swopped over time and time again.
:coffee: "I will need 2 design a head hanger instead of a coat hanger. Yes
easy to quickly paint a head with face, than a whole figure.
 " BB`s head swops!"
:cowboy: "Just think of the time and paint, and dark staining dip one could save?"

:sst: " what would the Queen from Alice in Wonderland demand?"

Image

:winky: " Off with his head and on with another."
:read: " I`ll enter this in the journal,
` Another crazy space created by BB, on the Forum.'
:-D i fully agree. BB

Seeing the detail that needs painting after undercoat had been applied.
This will certainly be a help for my eyes. :-D BB

:coffee: "As a statue the simple pose would work. A constructive idea Dalibor,
but my rather sinister video will best serve such an idea up for me."

:sst: "press on the link above, if you have 2 minutes to spare."
 " So no need 4 sticky popcorn."

:sst: " if u frighten easily kindly watch with a small child."
 " However U might need that sticky Popcorn after all."

Yes Jan, it is tough going but I`m trying to paint a few heads along with the stretched out bodies they will sit upon. They will be my last painted presentation due to prolonged illness. BB
