Dear Andreas,

I love to see work like this. It is very inspiring to me.
Question: is there a reason I see green stuff but sometimes white stuff?

Andreas wrote:If there are any critics, feel free to say so. ;-)

If this horse is coming to a sudden halt, which makes this model so great, not only the hair on its neck but also the tail should move forward (move beside the horse ass) and so it may make the total of the model more dynamic. The white tail at this moment looks like it is hanging down in rest.

Good luck with continuation of this model

Tanks a lot for the kind words and critics
You are right , the Horses Tail will look better beside the Horse . Easy to redo.
I do a lot of Sculpts in different Scales . If i start a new Miniature i use Greenstuff for the Skeleton , a mix of GS and MS for the second Step ( Muscels , basic shape of the Face etc.)
And for details i use Magic Sculp. There is always some Putty over i use for a fast sculpt like this Indian.
Figures for Casting are made in GS for Skeleton and Basics and MS for finishing .
I can show a sculpt for Casting ( in Progress ) if you like :-D

Yes please!

Andreas, everything you write is a complete new world for me.
Thanks a lot for this info.
I know green stuff and magic sculpt but to use both for the same figure is something I never thought of. My experience is GS is more sticky and not possible to mix this with water. MS can be mixed with water to make it softer but falls of the basic, already dried MS sculpting sometimes, afterI add new small details. Why is that? Too much or too little water added?

I don´t know , i never had any Problems with Adhesion . I do mix a lot but never use Water at all to mix or smooth MS or GS . Using more MS makes the Mix softer and easier to scratch if necesarry .
I use Water for finishing MS sculpts .

Hello Andreas,

your figure of the Indian is really alive! I feel how the horse at full speed trying to come to a standstill. Nice :yeah: ! The idea to rebuild the tail improves effective... ;-)

I also design figures and so it is instructive and interesting for me to read reports like this always. I would like to see how you sculpt for casting too, please show it. I admire modellers who work so masterfully with GS and MS like you  .

My characters are partially very small and I often work with a mix of different techniques. I use usually only small amounts GS, MS and Andrea 2K-modeling clay (often only 1 to 3 grams) and fill breakable sections by plastic parts, pieces of pewter or resin, wire, superglue or solder. I think I must go build something larger  !
