Thank you all for your kind words and congratulations. I am really honored.

Actually I´ve built and painted this within one and a half weeks. There are about 20 figures. For every figure I needed about one hour to paint it. And for the landscape, explosion, arrangement and some simple figure conversions I needed about five hours. Some evening sessions from 9 p.m. (when my daughter is in bed) to 1 a.m. (when Papa needs to go to bed too) and it was done.

I´ve taken the fotos outside in the sunshine with real forest and real sky in the background. I think this is the best way to take realistic diorama pictures.

So cheers and a big DANKESCHÖN to you all! And now I have to work for another hour for keeping my golden brush.

Sorry, I have only this one, which shows a "medium" stadium of the diorama. The landscape is built with peweter and plastic gambions, (I painted them months before), balsa wood and black coloured moltofill/sand-mix.

The figures are fixed with pins to a piece of styrodur, so that they can easily be painted. I saw at this time of making my dio, that there are to less figures on it. Therefore I added some further conversions from the two Zvezda-Sets I used for this.

Where did you get the gambions from btw? They look waaaay much better than the Italeri ones.

They are from mixed brands...Revell (Rebel Engineers ACW), Kai Fuhrmann (made from plaster) and pewter gambions from a 15mm-manufacturer (perhaps Old Glory).

Imex has also good gambions (but only two or three per pack) in the "battlefield accessories" and "civil war accessories"-sets. Great sets and very useful for dioramas from 1500-1900.

I only added moltofill/sand-mix on top of the gambions so that they fit more properly to the structure of the ground.
