Just got back from battle group south after getting my hands on the test spruce(had to give it back thought ).
Speaking to the bloke there is still a bit of work to do but its nearly done .
There was a few pin holes but thats because its a test spruce.



The bloke kneeling down firing is a bit on the large side and one or two arms could be raise a bit more,but on the whole I think the wait will be worth it. A lot of detailing on the face will take washes very well

Did they look a little chunky? Or is it just the perspective in the photo? Was it the creator who had them at the meeting?

In line with Kiwi's post, how do you think they will compare in size with Russian figures that are currently available? It is very good to finally see a picture or two of these, thsnks.

They do look chunky, just like metal bods, but nothing wrong with that.

Had nothing to compare them with,but the blokes kneeling down are a little over sized but other than I would say they were okay

I have BEEN waiting for pix of these fellows! Yes Plastic Man, I have had your site bookmarked since PSR listed them on their site months ago, and checking it weekly! Correct me if Iam wrong, but their is a "Russian Support Group" forthcoming, as well as late-war Germans, seperate support group pack, then some Brits... hard plastic and multipose ( similar to what Preiser and Pegasus have been doing) to allow for customization... I for one am stoked, and am having a hard time waiting, same as for HaT's colonials that seem to have been stuck at "5" for 18 months!!
I will probably let you get the first sets out, and scoop them up in a MTS order...

Oh, and add me to the list of those SCREAMING for JAPANESE! As long as they are quality, and do not look "Strelets" cartoonish, I am in like Flynn! But If you do that, you KNOW you will have to kick out some US Marines and some of Wingate's Chindits!! Just sayin'... A stroll thru PSR shows there is a dearth of Japanese, so I would be willing to bet there is a market out there!

Comrades,

Our valiant troops are on the steps of the Reichstag. The defenders are making us fight for every inch of ground but Vladimir is clutching our beloved flag to his chest ready to hoist from the roof.

More tool adjustments this week with a view to start production next week.

Watch this space.......

I will be at "Attack" in Devizes this weekend if anyone wants to see test sprues and have a chat.

they look very good but if the producer is out there I would suggest more aggressive poses - just my opinion !

Thanks for the photos Rich! Now I see they are worth buying. But nevertheless I am bit disappointed. There multipose-charakter seems to be not as good as with Valiant Miniatures for example. No extra weapon arms, heads and other stuff....or will these be done in an extra sprue?

Lets hope that we will not have to wait so long for the following sets, like the Germans (yes, you can never have enough WW2 Germans.... ) or the support groups.

And I am also keen on some WW2 Japanese or Marines.

Hey guys I am a new member from Canada but i have read this post for awhile because I myself have been waiting since March for these Soviets, and too be honest I'm just a little dissapointed. It seems there a bit bulkier then I thought they'd be but their not bad, what I really need are some Japanese for my Iwo Jima diorama, and new US Infantry winter uniform for my Bulge Diorama (although Italeri are making some that are releasing soon), but yea these look good, but I expected better especially after the wait, and also try to help me out as I am new and know nobody on this forum!

I also thought it would be great for a company to make full set of Medics, Snipers, aswell as every machine gun fielded by that army during the war, maybe somehting like that in these support packs? My opinion though...

**UPDATE 7th August 2010**

HUZZA!!

A huge, vodka-soaked HUZZA!! The tool is now running smoothly. Henceforth the 6th August has been designated a public holiday in celebration.

We will be in full production imminently and all the patient mail order customers will be receiving their goodies asap.

A huge thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding and profuse apologies for the delays and too early launch.

From now on new sets will only be released when they are firmly in production.
