Why bother ? To All members who don´t post.

Posted by Paul on 01 Apr 2010, 19:07

Just a question to all of you wh have joined and never posted but appear here sometimes.
Why not join in?
Is it because of the language?

You joined;
To be able to vote in competitons etc??
To be able to keep up with what the newest posts are??

Just puzzles me that´s all.

That´s nice :-) But seriously, why join people and not do anything ?
The only advantages I can see is that you can vote in the comps and use the chat room but if you don´t go there then why register ?????

Paul, you have no idea how many people read our forum at http://wargame.hu, and do not post anything at all... An then later on you meet someone at work or on a not figure related event, and find out during the conversation, that the person is also interested in 1:72 stuff or wargaming, and when you direct them to tha page, he says, "ohh, yes, I know it, I'm a regular reader" :-) So most people just read.

Fine, they just read, but what´s the piont in registering? They don´t have to register to read the posts. If I log out it all looks pretty similar except it doesn´t show the latest posts, the "new bits" and the chatroom is offlimits.
Is there anyone registered who hasn´t posted who want´s to say why not?

Mind you then they would have posted and then it doesn´t count...catch 22 situation, oh no!!

So come on you "members" that are registered but don´t post, finally post and tell why you joined up. We want you to join in the fun, otherwise, why "sign up"?

At the homepage of this forum there is a counter.

Great, now I feel like I'm being watched. Can we please make this forum private only so you have to join (by filling in a 20 page question list) before you can see the forum, like they do in Germany with forums?
