How to make bananas

I know many of you know this picture, but did you know the bananas were made of caraway seeds?.........there's a lot of stuff in the kitchen you can use for your dios.some of my dios smell like pizza or chicken with herbs de provence

That's a nice idea - actually, almost every time when I'm using some herbs in the kitchen, I wonder whether they wouldn't make some nice ground cover, certainly much cheaper than the stuff from Woodland Scenics et al.
But what about the problem of light fade? These chlorophyll-based natural colors are not very persistent, so I prefer artificial dyes. Erik, have you ever encountered problems with a diorama getting bleached, or is this an unneccessary fear?

Like sberry the herbs (dried version) make good ground cover. A way of overcoming colour loos is to either press them(takes a couple of months) or use a sugar / hot water trick, this works with moss as well

when you use herbs or tea leaves for ground work it doesn't matter when the colors are fading out with time.dead leaves should not look too bright anyway.

Dried beans? It´s a new information for me. What could they be used for?

Dried beans, you know , coffee lentils etc. It makes good gravel effects. I´ll try and make a couple of photo´s soon
