Congratulations to all of the participants, and especially to Entrauner! I think the peace time diorama has a very special way to tell their stories. And this time we have a warm vignette full of poetry.

Hi Erik and Alex,
Congratulations for you both to come as far as the final.
That Erik won, was not a real surprise for me.
I knew that is was Erik's from the start.
It bears his "handwriting" all over !!

Congratulations Erik! This is a wonderfull piece of art  I knew you would win from the first round. And it had my vote every round.

I hope you tell us the story behind this dio. How yo made and so on. The only figures I recognize are that man and women, converted from the High Chaparral set.

My congrats again

Note: and he did win this competition with only one picture

This was by sure my most feared opponent in the competition. A well deserved victory for the best entry in this challenge. Congratulations Erik. A perfect presented diorama with full of drama and home made wagon and figures in lifelike appearance.......unbeatable!!!

many thanks to our community for all the votes and nice compliments.
I must say that dio is one of my older works and unfortunaltely i only have one picture of it at the moment.
the figs are as already recognized by airfix and the kids are preiser HO.
the sculls are from various fantasy figs and the donkies are converted matchbox(remember the anzac set?)
the wagon is scratch ,made of wood -except the weels.
to make the dried out river banks I had to do some experiments with all kinds of acrylic coulors and I finally found one which did real nice crackles
when hardened.
what you can't see are the vultures (geier) on a tree on the left side of the dio.but when I get it back I'll try to make some more pictures.
at the moment all my dios are part of a nice exhibition here in vienna-if anybody is visiting my hometown let me know.-it will go till june 12th.
thanx again,it is fun to be part of this crowd of lunies here ;o) !
