Strelets seem to be releasing 2 sets in February regardless of the continuing bad situation in Eastern Ukraine. Sadly, no preview pictures so far.

285 - Napoleonic British Infantry in skirmish
286 - Napoleonic British Infantry in square

Retailers began selling the 2 new sets this week.
Unfortunately, still no really reliable images of the figures' actual appearance at the moment, instead some blurred pictures of the original masters. :eh:

We have seen these before but it would be helpful to know how the final figures turned out. :eh:
We may even have to wait for a PSR (p)review, but it may take some time since the UK market is being supplied with some delays in recent years... :(

Wow, PSR have got their act together and the newly available Strelets sets are already featured in the Awaiting Review section.
As already anticipated, the moulding quality unfortunately seems to suffer from the war conditions in eastern Ukraine (flash on 286 figures). :(
Overall, beautifully sculpted figures in appropriate poses.

Thanks for sharing Peter. An unusual subject and the figures look good. Perhaps Erich will return one day and provide all our future release information like he once did.

I was looking at the Seminole Wars figures - and if memory serves correctly the Seminoles fought the US to a standstill, and an armistice was signed - and it struck me that when they're painted up they must be some of the most colourful figures available on both sides. Strong reds and blues on the native side and creams and whites on the Volunteers' side.
If I didn't have enough on my plate at the moment - I might get some.

Hello Steve, our hobby makes me discover many historical aspects all the time. It is a major aspect why I love it. Strelets and also Redbox are really great because they cover lesser known realms of history.
In the case of the Seminoles, the facts seem less victorious. Looking at Wickipedia or history books, Seminoles who were it seems survivors from other American regions who had retreated into Spanish Florida, fought a heroic but hopeless guerilla war. The survivors were sent into south-central deserts - where there were no settlers yet.
I discover the colours and beauty of their outfits. And I will use the civilian fighters for other 19th century uprisings, mostly European revolutions. They are close to perfect for that with exception of the Bowie figure.

A future Strelets set, looks very much like WWII Japanese Infantry in defence.
