Comitatus ruleset

Posted by Chariobaude on 08 Feb 2021, 21:57

I'm searching for years now the right ruleset to use for late roman/dark ages timeframe. And without a wargam club near where i live, it is not easy...
DBA seems fine, but the armies are so small i won't enjoy it.
I've discovered Comitatus, does anybody tried it ?
Is is good ?
Thank you !

Never heard of it. You may have a look at Impetus.

I don't know this ruleset either. I am still practicing DBA, and l'Art de la Guerre.

I'm looking at To the Strongest! or perhaps seeing how my usual choice of Lost Battles/Strategos works for the era although I'll need to do a lot more research!
