Black Seas - Dutch flotilla

After a lot of effort and helpful suggestions by BeanoBoy I've finished my frigates and brigs from Warlord.

I've given all the ships a clear acrylic base to protect them

Maybe after a while I may get round to adding some third rates, but for now with a lack of opponents I'll wait and see.

They look really nice. Where'd you get the bases from Will?

Steve, the bases came from Fluid 3D Workshop https://www.fluid3dworkshop.co.uk/. I use a recommended sizes from the blog "JJ's wargames" https://jjwargames.blogspot.com/2020/02/all-at-sea-on-stocks-in-jjs-dockyard.html. The Fluid 3D webstore is not that user friendly, but the prices are OK

All looks pretty darn cool Will,i'm sailing against the weather gauge myself but painting lots of bronze cannon today.

Thanks for the mention. My head just hot a lot bigger! not really.

They should sell the sea on a wide roll.

I am thinking a converted window blind painted up as sea could be rolled up and down without leaving fold lines across the table. Then in between fighting upon the high seas, just put back into the plastic sleeve the original window blind came in.

:coffee: Or is that silliness upon a grand scale? BB :eh: Yip!

I've got a 2m square piece of turquoise fabric for when I get down to some proper gaming, and I've seen a suggestion of adding a ripple effect shower curtain on top to get a better effect.

Holland rules the seas once again. Best of luck against Nelson. Those are lovely little ships. I can see the appeal to making a fleet.
