Here are some long awaited reinforcements for the French. I have tried a new method with my painting. I used to to do all the base coats etc and then paint a wash over everything. I might then dry brush a little. For jackets, trousers etc I'm now trying to paint the base layer, then add a dark wash, then add a highlight with a lighter shade over larger parts of the clothing.. Unfortunately my photos don't really show this up very well, but I'm pleased with the results as they do look better than she comparing these with the ones I did a few months ago.
Nice work! You really make them come alive. Have been working on the same Strelets WSS for my imagination project. As these were my first 1/72 soft plastic figs, I must say I enjoy working on them a lot.

I would be curious to learn which it is.
These are a good range of figures, so any faults or loss of detail is certainly through my own painting!
Just finished painting the Strelets French Chevaux Legers/Gendarmes. These are painted as the Chevaux Legers, part of the Maison Du Roi. These figures really are stunning and were great fun to paint. Thanks for looking.
