AWI British Infantry 28mm

Posted by Kekso on 17 Jun 2020, 12:17

I haven't posted in WIP section in a while. Currently I work on AWI British infantry from Warlord Games. Figures are nice, sculpting is good (not that chunky as most of 28mm figures) and one can create various poses. Set comes with more heads and arms that you need. That's it for now... see you in couple of years (at least regarding this project) :xd: :xd: :xd:

All 30 of them are painted and waiting for primer.

Have fun...After painting maybe you can use them for Saratoga or Bunker Hill...

I won't use them... I will sell them and buy more minis.

After that I will paint more minis and sell them and then I will buy some more minis... and after that... can you see the pattern?

I know very well that feeling of starting a new project and not knowing if it will ever be finished. Despite that, try to go for them.

My best wishes.

Santi.

Figures are primed in white (because I will paint some parts in yellow).
I've painted skin and hats (partially).
Although I wasn't too careful when painting 5 o'clock shadow I'm ok with the result.

Those faces are lovely.

They bring the men alive and no doubt will look superb upon completion.

Best wishes,

Chris

The faces already look perfect ...
That gives a lot to expect for the rest of the figures!

Yes, of course – but only if you are interested in a scenario where Austrian soldiers in their pure white uniforms participated in the AWI!

Everything looks Great, right down to the bottle tops themselves.
i like a good firing line and this type of set certainly provides that. BB

I've painted pants and started with jackets. I've made red paint too thin... it seems I will need 3 coats of red paint :affraid:

Then I've noticed that I forgot to glue sabers on standard bearers... silly me :joker:
Now they look like this:

Also waiting Necromancer Cloak paint to arrive (from Army Painter) so I can (maybe?) highlight black parts.

So I'm not the only one who's traveling on the 28mm scale.
Looking good so far.
I'm looking forward to the finished result.

You're not for sure.

Me too... repetitive painting makes me exhausted :xd:
And I'm not sure I'm half way there :-x
