Gallic Warriors VICTRIX

After the Romans I have now started painting the Gallic warriors.
Like the VICTRIX Romans, these figures are very nice made,too.

I don't paint the shields.
I print templates on normal paper, cut them out and stick them on the shields.
I can't paint the shields by hand.
On this scale, that's not that easy either.
But I admire painters who can.

Even with the shields being printed rather than painted, these figures are still masterpieces painted in your usual, excellent style!

Now that is a cool painting style,yes indeed. Printed shields look wonderful too.

i bought the shield sheets years ago, and printed them out from scanning those.
Alas i can`t paint the darn figures though. Perhaps i could print some? BB

I can't tell that they are decals and they blend very nicely with what you have painted so the end result is still exquisite.

Sorry that I do not follow very closely the other scales postings...
I must confess that 28 mm figures are far more beautiful than 1/72, and, If I had to begin this hobby from scratch, maybe would be my choice. Been tempted every time I see them but too many ongoing projects to abandon them know...

Anyhow, your figures look amazing no matter the size you try.
But this one is are amongst your best.

The Vitrix plastics are great, really setting the standard, they make great Romans too.

I love the realistic painting on the Celts and the blue warpaint is very eye catching with the abstract patterning!

Lovely painting, wonderful work on the bronze and iron, and real character in the faces. These Gauls are magnificent... And they know it!
