Strelets news 2020 - 2024

Probably late spring. With lot of other sets (about 15?) minus the WSS. These will appear sooner.
Not bad eh!?
Wiking made a remark about Preisser. But think about the Hat sets quite far in production but in delay for so long: acw marching sets, Austrian napoleonic infantry sets, Peninsular British cavalry, sassanids,
It actually hurts me to see Hat dissapear this way.
Because that’s what’s happening in my point of view. :(

I owe it to HaT that I even got in to Napoleonic miniatures. Due to the catalog of figures they have produced it's feasible to construct somewhat complete armies of the time. Now it's Strelets charging ahead with new sets and a much higher standard of modeling so we're in a very good time for the hobby. Having only been painting for around a year I do feel I missed a "golden age" back when Zvezda was making everyone's eyes pop but better late than never.

The difficulty back in the golden age, at least for me, was to chose.
Most people/hobbyists do have not unlimited money.
You had to decide to let go certain ages/battlefields in favour of the one you most wanted. And to chose if two or let’s say ten or twenty sets of Zvezda French guard grenadiers should be enough. For most sets are only available for a relatively short time.

Seems a luxury problem, but I don’t go for that phrase in this dearly beloved hobby of mine. ;-)

Can’t and won’t judge the uniforms or horse furniture (not my period, yet), but the poses are all good, even perfect. No waving swords above head, or my personal disliked pose: arm over breast in neck and sword somewhere behind head. Trumpeter is also good.
And remember the old flying horses by strelets a long time ago?
These are all just very fine horses.
As it is it might become one of Strelets finest cavalry sets. And this is only the first of three(?) wss cavalry sets. Big thumbs up. :yeah:

Those are truly gorgeous riders and horses. I am recalling the glory days of the Zvezda big box sets when I look at these. Not the style, but the exceptional quality.

This set looks very accomplished. Nice variety of poses and what looks like excellent sculpting. I'm looking forward to them producing a set of artillery as I'd love to see how their new higher standards (particularly in the WSS range) will reflect in artillery.

These are either French and/or Austrian 3,7cm infantry cannons.

Those were presented by the HAT sets for Austrian heavy weapons oder the American set.

Great choice and so far far better sculpting.

So stuff like this?
I can remember the old sketches by Hat. So perhaps some French troops as well? Or Austrian.

Possibly a figure for an upcoming “Nap. Bavarian Infantry on the march“ set? :-) :yeah:

Btw, Strelets invites customers to "leave their footstep" on a world map.

Considering their longstanding dedication to our hobby and especially their recent "anti-Corona-distraction-service", it would be a nice gesture to say hello there and thus giving back a little gratitude.

And psr mentions that he wss French musketeers on the march have been released, in the UK. May take some time before the rest of the world will get them.
Just as a reminder:
