Airfix italian infantry

Hi Guys,

I'm not an expert on ww2 so here's a question for those who are. I want to paint this set for use in the dessert war. Now i have 2 questions.. Can i use them for north-africa ? and if so can i paint them in a dessert yellow-ish or do you advise another colour.

I hope you guys can help me out
