Unfortunately my 1:1 copy of the Bismarck is occupying nearly my whole carport. And I need still some room for my lawnmower.

Same problem with my Tirpitz... The Missouri is already becoming a bit rusty outside...

Love this forum for finding people who share the same problems!

100 years ago yesterday, the German Fleet was scuttled.
German sailors were killed, some shot by the Brits during this action.
So all sunken ships are classified as war graves at Scapa Flow,
The British M. O. D has nothing to do with allowing the sale or collection of war graves.

E Bay will close this guy down, before some idiot presses the pay now button on this Scam! BB

Afraid not BB.

There are two war graves in Scapa, HMS Royal Oak and HMS Vanguard.

The remaining ships from the High Seas Fleet are protected under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979. People can dive the sites, buy appointment, but not touch.

All the others were salvaged years ago.

i have watched some of those divers on the wrecks on You Tube, before so i already knew of those orginised 100 m dives._____ Thank you for feedback KGV  You are a Pal

:coffee: I have reported this Seller to E Bay`s Trust & Safety Team .
So watch that space. it is now under investigation .
In the meantime he has shut up shop. His for sale items are nil at this present time.

I read the legal document of 1980 from the M O D, and under section B, he cannot sell these items even though he bought them in 1980. He cannot remove any items either from them without permission from the M.O.D. So what is he actually trying to sell? Nothing other than a £10.000.00 deposit which is none returnable on each battle ship. He is advocating one presses the buy now button releasing founds to his Pay Pal Account. Then after payment is made the buyer can then approach the M.O.D for a Salvage Licence on ship or ships, which i assure you will never be granted. So his aiming point to aid his retirement fund pot is a cool £40.000.00 he will certainly not refund._____________ A Scam Indeed.

:coffee: i held off posting this reply because i wanted to see just what would transpire. BB

He has now relisted his items again with reserve not met.
He certainly advocates diving licences can be dished out on these old decaying wrecks.
Interesting development i will watch to see what transpires. In the meantime divers can dive down to see them but not touch. As if there is a Cop down there stating,` No swimming closer than 3 M, from the wreck and most certainly no touching either.

:coffee: i have a red herring for sale, price 10% of £250.000.00. A non refundable deposit. BB

This is really crazy. I am wondering what the new owner will do with it.

I very much doubt the new owner will get salvage rights if the previous owner couldn't. Continuing to run diving trips might be the only option, but how much do those diving trips cost! it might take a while to turn a profit.

Does anyone know if loan payments on your Dreadnought are an allowable tax deduction?

With a full complement of 15" (38cm) guns your request for tax deductable loan payments could be quite persuasive
